Men hard frequently in the morning due to nocturnal penile tumescence, a phenomenon driven by testosterone fluctuations during sleep cycles. It serves no evolutionary purpose, yet it can increase sexual desire temporarily. Blood flow dynamics contribute to this physiological occurrence, usually subsiding after waking.
